‘TV drama cannot alter reality': India slams Pakistan over cross-border terror

NEW DELHI: India has fiercely condemned Pakistan for continuing to sponsor cross-border terrorism, declaring that televised media campaigns cannot alter the grim facts on the ground.Ministry of external affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal delivered the scathing rebuke during a press briefing in New Delhi on Wednesday. The statement follows a series of intense diplomatic clashes at the 81st United Nations general assembly (UNGA) and ongoing regional tensions.“Pakistan is a country which has been fueling cross-border terrorism for years; lying and propagating falsehoods have become second nature to it,” Jaiswal told reporters.New Delhi’s latest offensive targets what it calls Pakistan’s ongoing public relations campaigns and media narratives. India recently exercised its Right of Reply at the UN to counter Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Indian diplomats strongly rejected Sharif’s statements, accusing Islamabad of using falsehoods and deceit to mislead the global community.
