NEW DELHI: Karnataka chief electoral officer V Anbu Kumar on Tuesday said that no voter had been deleted from the draft electoral roll solely due to the bulk submission of Form 7, asserting that every deletion was carried out after due verification.Speaking to reporters, Kumar thanked political parties for extending support during the exercise.“I am grateful to all the political parties and the representatives and the booth agents for such great support. I am grateful to the voters of Karnataka also. They have filled the enumeration forms and submitted them back; when the notices are served, they answer all the notices…. 4 crore, 55 lakh and 11 voters are there,” the Karnataka CEO said.“The issue was only Form 7, and not even a single voter name has been deleted from the draft roll, only because of submission of Form 7 in bulk. Every deletion happened after due verification,” he added. This comes after the Election Commission published Karnataka’s final electoral roll following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).
