While fans still have to get a glimpse of Sunny Deol as Hanuman in Nitesh Tiwari‘s ‘Ramayana‘, buzz about his big-screen entry has social media buzzing with a new video going viral.As per the latest buzz, the actor is set to feature in an elaborate fire sequence depicting one of the most iconic episodes from the Hindu epic, with Rishabh Tyagi claiming that it could be among the biggest such sequences ever filmed in Indian cinema. Speaking about the ambitious production, Tyagi revealed that the team spent nearly two months on the sequence, which depicts lord Hanuman’s journey to Lanka.
Hanuman’s fire sequence took 2 months to create
“We’re working on a frame in Ramayana, where Hanumanji goes to Lanka. That is by far the biggest fire sequence, of my life and probably even in Indian movie cinema,” Tyagi said. “It took nearly two months to film that sequence and was one of the most high-tech sequences ever filmed,” he added.
Sunny Deol plays Hanuman in ‘Ramayana’
Sunny Deol is playing Lord Hanuman in the highly anticipated film which stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The film is being mounted as a large-scale adaptation of the epic.While several characters from the epic have made blink-and-miss appearances in the trailer and other promotional material, visuals of Lord Hanuman have been kept under wraps thus far.It is also unclear if the said sequence will feature in ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ or ‘Ramayana: Part 2’. As per the latest buzz, Sunny is expected to feature towards the end of the first part and will have a larger role in Part 2.
‘Ramayana’ release date
‘Ramayana’ is slated to release worldwide on November 6, where it will clash with the monster film ‘Godzilla Minus Zero’. The film will release two days later in India, on the occasion of Diwali, on November 8.
