With this, the film comfortably surpassed the previous record of USD 60 million set by ‘Avengers: Endgame’ in 2019.The impressive preview collections also comfortably eclipse the USD 50 million earned by ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ during its Thursday previews in 2021.

The record-breaking start has significantly raised expectations for the film’s opening weekend. While Sony had initially projected a domestic debut of around USD 195 million and a worldwide opening of approximately USD 465 million, early box office trends now point to a much bigger launch.

As per Deadline, industry sources estimated that ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is headed for an all-time opening day (including Thursday previews) of between USD 167 million and USD 173 million in the United States and Canada.
