Sophia Bush and former professional footballer Ashlyn Harris are married.The couple, who have been in a relationship for a few years, revealed that they in fact, tied the knot in a private ceremony in the summer of 2025. The happy news was revealed in Bush’s debut memoir, ‘And I Will Tell You Mine: Notes from a Life in Progress’, which features several revelations about the actor’s life and relationship with Harris.Harris’ children, Sloane and Ocean, attended the intimate wedding, with Bush embracing her role as their ‘stepmother’. Speaking to Vogue, Bush said, “When you get to this stage in your life, you begin to unpack what’s yours and what’s always sort of been for everyone else.”Addressing her wife, Harris, she added, “You’ve been playing in stadiums in front of 60,000 people since you were 15 or 16, and I started playing a character for tens of millions of people when I was 21. It’s such a privilege to be able to perform as an athlete or an actor, but it also comes with certain costs.”Ashlyn recalled how relaxed the wedding was for the family, particularly for the children, who she said, “were just running and happy, and we picked flowers from the property and our daughter Sloane was holding them. It was so fun for them, because it wasn’t this pressure-filled day that’s too much for young kids.”An excerpt from her book, shared by Vogue reads, “This is who I wanted to spend it with. And she wanted to spend it with me.As that beautiful realization settled in, a friend asked how I could still believe in marriage knowing what I knew about how it could end. It surprised me how quickly and clearly I knew the answer. That if in ten years she and I grew into different people and didn’t want to be together, I would rather get divorced all over again—and do it with the love and tenderness I’d always thought was the goal in the first place—than miss my chance at being married to her at all. I felt it in my bones.”Bush also remembered spending their wedding night together as a family, including roasting marshmallows. “It was so precious, and zero pressure. I will never forget it, and I think wedding days sometimes aren’t like that,” she said.As per Vogue, turning to Harris, Bush added, “You’re not my partner, you know? You’re my wife. And it feels so amazing to say that.”In an excerpt from her memoir, Bush also reflected on getting married again after a divorce.
