A big part of the appeal of ‘Ride or Die’ was seeing Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham share the screen. Spencer plays Debbie, while Waddingham plays Judith. It continued to perform strongly during its second week as well.Still, good reviews and a strong start do not always translate into another season. The decision to renew a series can involve its viewing numbers, how long people keep watching, production costs and what a platform wants its upcoming lineup to look like. In this case, the studio is reportedly trying to find another home for ‘Ride or Die’. Whether that actually happens is another question.
