On the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy that struck the Twin Towers, killing thousands of people, many celebrities came together to raise money for the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund. The nonprofit charity, which was established days after the incident to help families of the 658 Cantor Fitzgerald employees who lost their lives in 9/11, holds a Relief Fund Charity Day annually to raise money for their cause. Even this year, a lot of big celebrities came together to raise millions of dollars for the people who were directly affected by the tragedy.

Just Jared reported that the event was held at the BGC Group in New York City on September 11 and was attended by a lot of big-name celebrities. These included, but were not limited to, Nicole Kidman, Alix Earle, Kenan Thompson, Kristin Chenoweth, Victoria Justice, Nicki Minaj, Marsai Martin, Ralph Macchio, Misty Copeland, and Djimon Hounsou, to name a few.Following the successful event, the charitable organisation also issued its own statement. She shared, “To create a legacy for those we lost, we expanded upon our mission. Every year on Charity Day, Cantor Fitzgerald and BGC Group donate 100% of their revenues to support a wide variety of direct service charities around the world through the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund.”They further added, “Celebrity ambassadors join us on our trading floors to represent charities that are important to our families, employees, clients, and communities and help us pay forward the kindness shown to us in the aftermath of 9/11. Our ambassadors have included prominent actors, musicians, sports icons, morganisationodels, media personalities, royalty, and politicians.”Similar charity events were held on the trading floor in Canary Wharf in London, where many British stars, including Dame Helen and Tom, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Kate Garraway, Michael McIntyre, Jamie Redknapp, and Leigh Francis, among many others, attended.Reports revealed that the organization has raised around USD 234 million for about 1,000 charities worldwide since it started.
