Years after fall out with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Kareena Kapoor Khan visits his office sparking speculation of a collaboration, fans get excited

Could Kareena Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali be on the verge of ending their long-standing professional fallout? Kareena’s recent visit to the filmmaker’s office has sparked speculation that the two could be considering a collaboration. If the reports are true, the project would mark their first association in 25 years, after their reported fallout over Devdas.Kareena was spotted outside Bhansali’s office on September 8. Dressed in white suit with a bindi and hair tied into a bun, looking gorgeous as ever. The actress kept the visit low-key and did not stop to pose for the paparazzi.According to reports, Bhansali has approached Kareena to play the female lead in his upcoming project, which is expected to feature Tamil actor Dhanush as the male lead. The film is said to have a strong female character whose part will be integral to the story, rather than merely being a supporting role opposite Dhanush.Kareena is reportedly interested in the project but has not signed on yet. Discussions around her dates, fees and other details are said to be ongoing. The film is reportedly a mythological adventure set in a jungle. While the makers have not officially disclosed the storyline, reports suggest that an elephant could also have a significant part in the narrative.Bhansali is expected to produce the film, while PS Mithran will direct it. The project is currently being written, with pre-production reportedly slated to begin later this year. Shooting is expected to commence in January 2027.Should Kareena come on board, the collaboration would bring a long-discussed Bollywood fallout full circle. The reported rift between Kareena and Bhansali dates back to the making of Devdas in the early 2000s, when the actress was reportedly being considered for the role of Paro.Kareena is said to have screen-tested for the part and even received a signing amount. However, Bhansali eventually cast Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Paro opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the 2002 period drama. The casting decision reportedly led to a fallout between the actress and filmmaker. Many years after that, rumours also suggested that Kareena was supposed to step in to play Mastani in ‘Bajirao Mastani‘ but even that did not work out and eventually Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were cast for the film. Now, Kareena’s visit to Bhansali’s office has once again fuelled speculation about a possible reunion. For now, however, neither the actress nor the filmmaker has officially confirmed their reported collaboration.
