The popular epic battle sequence from Prabhas‘ and SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ has been used by the Iranian Consulate in Hyderabad to accompany a message from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.The consulate shared the video following Masoud Pezeshkian’s address at the United Nations General Assembly. The post featured Amarendra Baahubali’s confrontation with the Kalakeya army from S.S. Rajamouli‘s 2015 epic.In the film, Prabhas’ character leads his forces into battle against the Kalakeya army. The sequence is one of the film’s most recognizable action moments. The Iranian Consulate connected the cinematic sequence with a statement attributed to Masoud Pezeshkian during his UNGA address.

What Masoud Pezeshkian said at UNGA
Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on September 23. During the speech, he said Iran would not submit to pressure while also referring to diplomacy and negotiations.As reported by Hindustan Times, the Iranian President said, “We will never bow our head,” while speaking about resistance to sanctions, pressure and what he described as bullying. His remarks came amid the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel.The Hyderabad consulate subsequently used the line in its social media post. It perfectly aligned with the ‘Baahubali’ battle sequence.

The Iranian Consulate’s post has also generated a range of reactions from social media users.One user wrote, “That movie actually had a scene of commerce between Persian and Indian men! Swords or something I guess India iran” Another commenter wrote, “Don’t compare the west with kalakeyas. The west is far worse than all of those what we see on screen.”A third user reacted, “Iran is obsessed with indian movies…Enjoy.”Another viewer suggested using the original Telugu version, writing, “You should have used original Telugu movie clip.”One more comment referred to a major plot point from the franchise, saying, “But here Kattapa only killed Baahubali.”
