NEW DELHI: US ambassador to India Sergio Gor met National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Tuesday and held talks focused on strengthening strategic cooperation between Washington and New Delhi.Describing the discussions as “fruitful”, Gor said the partnership between India and the United States was important for tackling global security challenges. He said both countries have several shared objectives and that engagement between the two sides is continuing to expand.

“Had a fruitful meeting with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to discuss deepening US-India strategic cooperation. Our close partnership with India is vital to addressing global security challenges. The United States and India share many of the same goals and our engagement continues to grow!” he said in a post on X.The meeting followed Gor’s discussions with Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri on Monday. The two officials discussed India-US bilateral ties, with Gor describing the interaction as “always good” in a post on social media, without sharing further details.Gor’s meeting with Doval also took place two days after US Vice President J D Vance spoke with PM Modi over the phone.
