NEW DELHI: Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory warning of traffic diversions across 30 key locations in the national capital on Saturday, amid heightened security arrangements for a planned protest at Jantar Mantar against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.The traffic restrictions will come into effect from 6am, depending on the prevailing law and order situation. Police have cautioned that movement at the identified junctions and surrounding stretches may be affected as authorities prepare for the demonstration planned by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP).The protest is being organised to demand the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in electoral rolls. Delhi Police has denied permission for the gathering but organisers have maintained that they intend to proceed with the demonstration.The advisory covers several key roads and junctions across central and New Delhi, including areas around Connaught Place, Jantar Mantar, Parliament Street and important government buildings.

Among the locations where commuters may face diversions are the Round About Shankar Road-Vande Matram T-Point towards New Delhi, Dhaula Kuan Flyover, Round About Jhandewalan, Round About Mandi House, Minto Road-Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, Chemsford Road-Outer Circle Connaught Place T-Point and Lodhi Road Flyover.Police said traffic management measures would remain dynamic, with restrictions eased or tightened according to real-time assessments on the ground.
