Mumbai: Bank of Baroda launched bob World 2.0, an AI-powered mobile banking platform, at the Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai, adding voice-enabled banking, personal financial management tools, hyper-personalisation and enhanced security as it moves towards an omnichannel digital banking ecosystem.The app was demonstrated to DFS secretary Sanjay Lohiya, managing director and CEO Debadatta Chand and the bank’s executive directors on Sep 11. Built on a microservices-based architecture, the platform is designed to progressively extend across mobile and internet banking.The platform allows customers to initiate transactions and navigate banking services through voice commands. Its personal financial management module provides a consolidated view of customers’ finances and is designed to support financial wellness. It also offers persona-based experiences for senior citizens, women, NRIs and millennials, along with a multi-layered security framework providing real-time protection.According to Debadatta Chand, customers increasingly expect banking services to be intuitive, intelligent, secure and personalised. He said the platform combines financial wellness tools, voice-enabled AI-driven engagement and personalised experiences on a single platform, adding that the bank would continue to develop its digital banking ecosystem as customer needs and expectations change.
