The actor, along with wife Maria Goretti, spent time reviving the heritage property, and the finished result is a striking mix of old-world charm and bold, modern design.Arshad recently took to Instagram to walk followers through the transformation, sharing pictures of everyone who helped bring Casa Zen to life, the carpenter, the potter, and the team behind the cleaning and polishing work. Among the images was one of a potter who crafted 40 pots in different sizes and colours for the home, and a video of Maria Goretti herself painting a heart-shaped design carved into wood.The bio on the property’s official page describes Casa Zen simply: a 150-year-old Portuguese home that has been lovingly restored, where walking in reportedly feels like a warm hug.

Located in Saligao, North Goa, Casa Zen spans five bedrooms and blends its original Portuguese-era architecture with vivid, contemporary interiors. The entrance is done up in textured indigo walls, while one of the bedrooms takes a softer approach with a white-and-cream palette, offset by warm lighting and wooden accents.On the outside, the bungalow keeps things largely white, with pops of indigo and yellow breaking up the façade. In a nod to sustainability, Arshad has also fitted the roof with solar panels — a practical addition to the heritage structure. The property also features a large swimming pool, a landscaped garden and a mango orchard, rounding out its appeal as a quiet, green retreat away from the city.While Casa Zen is a personal holiday home for the Warsi family, it doubles up as a rental property for tourists. According to Wildflower Villas, which manages the bookings, the entire five-bedroom bungalow can be rented for Rs 75,000 per night, excluding applicable taxes. Guests get access to the pool, garden and the home’s heritage interiors, making it one of the more distinctive stay options in North Goa’s quieter pockets.
