Republican Governor of Montana, Greg Gianforte, became the latest target of MAGA’s anti-Indian hatred on social media after he posted about his trip to India and Sri Lanka. Apart from being a Republican leader, Gianforte is also known as a tech leader. He co-founded RightNow Technologies, a Montana-based software company that was later acquired by Oracle for more than $1.8 billion. This became a more contentious issue amid the ongoing tech tussle, as the Donald Trump administration wants to restrict the H-1B visa program and its abuse.US ambassador in India Sergio Gor welcomed the Montana delegation to New Delhi and posted a photo. “A pleasure to welcome Montana Governor @GovGianforte and his delegation to New Delhi. We discussed new opportunities for Montana businesses to expand exports, investment, and commercial ties with India, and how stronger state-level engagement can help advance the broader U.S.-India economic partnership,” Gor wrote.Gianforte reciprocated and wrote: “Thank you @USAmbIndia for welcoming our Montana delegation to the US Embassy in Delhi. Working together, we’re strengthening US-India ties, expanding market access for ag producers, creating university partnerships, and exploring opportunities in bioscience and technology.”
Opportunities in technology means…: MAGA up in arma against Gianforte
MAGA was furious seeing their Republican governor speaking about tech in the same breath as India and US.“Opportunities in technology” means securing infinity foreign nationals to work in Montana. “University partnerships” means establishing the pipeline for these foreign nationals that’ll pay tuition to our “non-profit” schools. There is no normal Montanan who likes hearing about “partnerships” of any kind with the Indian government. And in fact, Gianforte’s account is ratioed literally everything his comm team does this.
