SHINee member Taemin recently shared a shocking update about his tour dates that has left many fans shocked. The idol recently confirmed in a social media post that he is postponing the North American leg of his world tour.

In a recent social media update that was shared online on all of his accounts, Taemin revealed that he will not be embarking on his North American leg of his ‘2026-27 Liminal Tour.’ The notice shared a lengthy note on how a lot of issues had arisen, causing them to make the decision.The statement shared, “Due to ongoing uncertainty surrounding U.S. visas and related administrative processes affecting key touring and production personnel, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the scheduled North American dates of the 2026-27 TAEMIN WORLD TOUR .”They continued, “A significant number of key touring and production staff required for the North American shows are still awaiting their visas, with no clear timeline for issuance. Given the continued uncertainty surrounding the participation of essential personnel, we determined that proceeding with the tour as scheduled would carry significant operational and production risks.”The original dates for the North American leg of his tour were slated to start in San Jose, California, on October 12 before going to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Texas, and Chicago, and conclude in Newark, New Jersey, on October 23. The cancellation of the North American leg of Taemin’s tour this close to the official dates left many in a state of shock.One person commented, “Why would they schedule a whole tour without visas??,” while another person added, “Is it truly a US thing or another incompetent company? Because all the recent lives seemed to be jolly. Did the tickets not sell enough? Are we going to end up in Kings Theatre again instead of Prudential?”

What will happen to the already sold tickets for Taemin’s tour?

The notice that was shared online confirmed that fans will be able to receive refunds for all of their tickets. The statement read: “Refunds for the currently scheduled North American shows will be available upon request through the original point of purchase. Further information regarding the refund process will be provided by the respective ticketing platforms.”They also confirmed that the North American leg will happen soon; however, the rescheduled dates will be announced later on. They ended the statement with an apology that read, “We sincerely apologize to everyone who has been looking forward to the shows and appreciate your understanding. We look forward to sharing the new North American tour dates with you soon.”The idol’s tour officially opened earlier this month in Seoul, South Korea, with three nights at Jamsil Indoor Stadium starting from September 18 to September 20.
