While many actors in the entertainment industry have condemned the use of AI in films, Brad Pitt is one of the few keeping his options open with the new technology. During one of his recent interviews, the actor opened up about how AI can be used as an advantage in the film industry and why he thinks involving the new technology in filmmaking now is a good thing.
Brad Pitt says that AI can be of great help for movie makers
Brad Pitt believes AI can help create good quality, low-budget films over the years, and he looks forward to the technology’s use in the entertainment industry. While talking to Esquire, he shared, “There’s a lot of pushback against AI, but AI is going to be the very thing that, if used as a tool, is going to help these mid-budget films, $40 to $90 million-budgeted films, get made.”While standing his ground on how AI could lead to cheaper film budgets, the actor added that he still has some qualms about whether it can replace actors.
Brad Pitt says AI can replace his performance; however, it won’t do it properly
When asked whether he believed AI could replace his role, Pitt gave a mixed answer. He said that while he believes AI can match his performances, it will not be able to achieve what he does to bring the role to life.Adding more context, he shared, “Well, it depends on who’s creating it, you know? Who’s behind it, who’s telling the story? Who’s saying, ‘I want to see this emotion from him,’ and then being able to mine through whatever AI provides and going, ‘More in this direction,’ and tailoring it in that way? So they could, but the final product might not be my choices and what I found and discovered in the thing.”He also admitted that he recently came across a song that had been made using artificial intelligence. While he believed the song was good, it was still a bit repetitive. He further commented, “It had a repetitive nature to it. It’s not going to be the same as hearing her voice—a woman’s voice, a person’s voice.”

He will next appear in ‘Heart of the Beast,’ an upcoming film about a stranded special forces soldier who survives a plane crash with his dog, Odin. Stuck in the Alaskan wilderness with nothing and no one, he must fend for himself while protecting his dog. He is also set to reprise his role as Cliff Booth in ‘The Adventures of Cliff Booth’, a sequel film to ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.’ The film is being directed by none other than David Fincher, while Quentin Tarantino has worked on creating the script for the upcoming film.
