Harsh made it clear that he has not taken a break from acting and has been actively working behind the scenes on his next project.

Harsh entered Bollywood with ‘Mirzya’ in 2016 opposite Saiyami Kher. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film marked his debut in the industry. While the movie did not create major box office waves, Harsh gradually built a reputation for taking unconventional roles. He later featured in projects including Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, AK vs AK, and Thar. Unlike several actors who appear in multiple releases every year, Harsh has preferred fewer projects with a different approach. His filmography may be limited in numbers, but many viewers have often praised his performances and choice of content.

The discussion gained momentum after Harsh posted about Christopher Nolan‘s upcoming film The Odyssey on X. He tweeted, “Just dropped 10 K on 3 tickets for the Odyssey in IMAX .. Nolan take my money … I’m alive !” Soon after his post, a user replied and appreciated his work. The person also questioned his absence from screens and encouraged him to continue acting. The social media user praised Harsh’s performances and also mentioned that audiences wanted to see him return with more films.

Harsh did not ignore the question. Instead, he directly responded and explained why audiences may feel that he has disappeared. His tweet read, “I haven’t stepped back at all been working on a new one since the day thar released it took 5 years to get thar made .. it took many years for vikram to make bhavesh and its taken me 2-3 years now to finish this film ok working on which I finish filming on June 30 th.. I’m also producing it .. I guess people are used to actors doing multiple films a year .. if you want films like bhavesh and thar and Ak vs Ak/ Ray it’s not gonna happen once or twice a year that’s just the reality .. but thank you and the new film is the best one yet 100 percent its extremely unique.”
What’s next for Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor?
Apart from acting in the upcoming film, Harsh also revealed that he is producing it. He shared that filming will conclude on June 30. He also sounded highly confident about the project and called it his strongest work so far. Meanwhile, Harsh had earlier been linked to a biopic on Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra alongside Anil Kapoor. Reports later suggested that the project had been shelved.For now, Harsh has made one thing clear. He has not gone anywhere. He has simply been taking his own route.
