The Met Gala is all about taking a unique perspective on fashion and giving it life through your clothing. While the night calls for embracing differences, there have been times when celebrities end up twinning on the glammed-up carpet stairs, while their outfits remain a secret until the very end. This is what seems to have happened with stars Lena Dunham and Nicole Kidman, who walked the white carpet for the night in similar red sequins and feathers, bringing their fashion bests to the front.

Nicole Kidman stuns in a dramatic bodycon fit
Kidman, who recently split from her 19-year-long marriage with Keith Urban, walked the red carpet as one of the co-chairs for the night, along with her daughter, Sunday Rose. She kept her hair long and wore a floor-length body con dress covered with red hot sequins, as well as accented red feathers around the edges of her waist and cuffs. To complete the fit, she paired it with an archival and timeless jewelry piece with a total of 224 diamonds, as per InStyle. While talking to Vogue about the inspiration of the outfit, the actress revealed that “I wanted something red because I wanted to embrace the way red has been used in art through the years. And I feel it’s a strong symbol for love. For passionate love, vitality, for power—and motherhood.”
Lena Dunham sports a bold fit with a slit and feathers
Lena Dunham wore a similar red sequin gown for the night, featuring a split running down to the floor. Her comeback to the Met Gala from her last appearance in 2019 was nothing short of a boom. Taking inspiration from the early 2010s, Dunham, the author of her new memoir, ‘Famesick’, wore a beautiful, fully sequined red gown. The thigh-high split added drama to the already bold fit, which was also paired with accented red feathers all over the bodice and skirt.
