Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana: Part 1′, among the grandest screen adaptations of the Indian epic to date, released in theatres on November 5. Now that the film has reached audiences, Karan Johar has shared his thoughts after watching it. Deeply impressed, the filmmaker wrote a detailed note applauding the film and everyone behind it.
Karan Johar shares his reaction to ‘Ramayana: Part 1’
Karan recently posted a lengthy note on Instagram applauding everyone involved in ‘Ramayana’. Congratulating producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitesh for realizing such an ambitious vision, he also lauded the main cast. Ranbir drew particular praise: Karan said the actor’s understated portrayal of Lord Ram made him believe in the character’s divinity, while Sai Pallavi, in his words, was convincing as Sita. He also admired Yash’s turn as Ravana, Ravie Dubey’s Lakshman, and the scene showcasing Ravana’s many inner voices.

He wrote, “RAMAYANA ….. a story immersed in our cultural veins… a story generations have grown up on… a story that is an embodiment of Values, traditions and pure humanity…. You have read it, seen it, told it… and YET to be BLOWN away by its cinematic adaptation is no short of a Miracle! I salute, I applaud and I have the deepest respect for each and every team member of Ramayana…. All of us can dream it… they actually went out and achieved it!!!!
